Not the most involving of titles, the story line isn't too bad.
Billed to be more like a "Sci-fi/Spagetti Western" than just about anything else. It pretty much lives up to the hype.
They could have done a few more things that would have made it much better but I don't write and produce anime.
Over at Anime News Network the fans give it a solid 6.5
At Anime On DVD the last two discs aren't reviewed but discs 1 through 4 rate a C to a B
Personally I could say about a 6 but I like spagetti westerns.
There were some pretty bad episoeds here and there but overall it was rewatchable and kind of fun. The first couple DVDs were awsome.
It had a tendancey to change it's story line as it went on like they knew where they wanted to go but not how to get there.
I wished numerous times that Meg would just die...
It reminded me of the cartoons I'd watch Saturday morning in the 60' & 70's
I've seen the whole 24 episode set for around $50, not a bad deal for almost 10 hours of entertainment.
The OVA is out from Funimation.
It's kind of a 5.
